How I Work

How therapy works begins with understanding patterns that may no longer be serving you and exploring meaningful ways of creating change.

Therapy is about more than managing symptoms; it is a space to understand yourself more deeply, notice patterns that may no longer be serving you, and explore what you truly need. My approach is grounded in creating a collaborative and reflective space where we begin to understand patterns and emotions and explore what is happening in your life in a meaningful way. The work is guided by your needs rather than a fixed structure.

Areas of Practice

My work includes support for:

Anxiety & panic attacks

Trauma & PTSD

Depression & low mood

Relationship difficulties

Low self-esteem & confidence

Grief & bereavement

Burnout & work-related stress

ADHD

Chronic illness

Life transitions & identity

Anger management

Loneliness & isolation

Shame & self-criticism

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

If your difficulty is not listed here, you are still welcome to get in touch. I work with a broad range of emotional and psychological challenges.

Beginning the Process
Your journey begins with a conversation. Together, we explore areas of life that feel stuck, identify patterns that may be keeping you there, and begin to understand what you would like to change or develop. This may involve working with long-standing habits, current challenges, or experiences rooted in earlier life. The work is collaborative and shaped around your pace, priorities, and readiness.

Over time, we track progress, reflect on change, and adjust the focus of our work so that it remains meaningful and manageable for you.

Integrative Therapy Approach

I work integratively, drawing from a range of psychological approaches in a flexible and tailored way, rather than relying on a single model of therapy.

My approach includes:

  • Person-Centred Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Gestalt Therapy
  • Transactional Analysis
  • Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
    …and more.

Sessions are collaborative and take place at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we explore patterns, emotions, and experiences to develop greater understanding and clarity.

I offer a safe and non-judgemental space where your experiences are heard, valued, and accepted. Many people come to therapy having learned to dismiss or suppress their emotional needs, which can contribute to anxiety, depression, shame, and self-criticism.

Within therapy, there is space to gently explore these experiences and reconnect with yourself and your needs. Over time, this process can support the rebuilding of self-trust and a more authentic way of living.

Over time, therapy can support deeper self-understanding and create meaningful shifts in how you relate to yourself, others, and your experiences.

A Safe and Reflective Space
The therapeutic relationship is central to the work. My focus is on creating a safe, supportive environment where you can feel comfortable being open, even in more vulnerable moments. I remain attuned, present, and supportive, while allowing your own experience to guide the process.

It is my privilege to support you in navigating challenges, uncovering insights, and engaging in a therapeutic process that reflects who you are. Understanding how therapy works can help you feel more comfortable beginning the process and deciding whether therapy is right for you.
