Therapy is a Process, Not an Event
Therapy is about more than managing symptoms—it’s about understanding yourself, noticing patterns that may no longer serve you, and discovering what you truly need. I take a holistic approach, recognizing the strong connection between mind and body. You can choose in-person “walk and talk” sessions or online sessions, whichever feels most comfortable and supportive for you.
Starting Where You Are
Your journey begins with a conversation. Together, we explore areas of life that feel stuck, uncover patterns from past experiences, and identify what you want to change or develop. Whether it’s breaking an old habit, building a new one, or navigating challenges from earlier life experiences, we collaboratively create a plan that fits your pace and priorities. We’ll track progress, celebrate milestones, and adapt along the way to ensure the work feels meaningful and manageable.
Tailored, Flexible Support
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach in therapy. I draw from a variety of therapeutic models to suit your unique needs, including:
- Person-Centred Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Gestalt Therapy
- Transactional Analysis
- Psychotherapy
- Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
…and more.
Sessions may include traditional talking therapy or creative approaches, such as art, movement, or image-based tools, allowing you to explore emotions and insights in ways that feel engaging and supportive. My work focuses on helping you recognize patterns of behaviour, often rooted in early life experiences, that may unconsciously hold you back, so you can make conscious, empowered choices that better meet your needs.
A Safe, Non-Judgemental Space
Many of us grow up learning that our real needs or feelings aren’t welcome, which can lead to anxiety, depression, shame, or self-criticism. In therapy, your experiences are heard, valued, and accepted, giving you a space to reconnect with yourself and your needs. Over time, this acceptance can help you rebuild self-trust and approach life more authentically.
Your Journey, Your Pace
You set the pace, choosing what to focus on and how deeply to explore. Therapy is collaborative—I don’t take an expert stance; instead, I support, guide, and listen as you navigate your path. Together, we decide which methods, tools, and approaches are most helpful, ensuring the process reflects your goals and preferences.
Building Connection and Trust
The relationship between therapist and client is central to the work. I focus on creating a trusting, respectful, and safe environment, so you feel comfortable being open—even in vulnerable moments. My role is to be attuned, present, and supportive while allowing your own experience to guide the journey.
It is my privilege to support you in navigating challenges, uncovering insights, and engaging in a therapeutic process that reflects who you are.
